County Connection and Bishop Ranch transportation managers launched an expanded autumn timetable on Friday for the zero-emission electric commuter shuttle network serving San Ramon's central business district. Under the revised operating plan approved by the City of San Ramon Transportation Division, Route 92X and the Bishop Ranch internal loop buses now operate at 15-minute headways during morning and late-afternoon commute windows between the Dublin/Pleasanton and Walnut Creek BART stations and the San Ramon Transit Center at 7001 Executive Parkway. Transit planners added two dedicated battery-electric Gillig coaches to the corridor after September rider tallies showed a 22 percent increase in hybrid office employees commuting on Tuesdays through Thursdays.

The updated routing introduces three new curbside boarding shelters along Camino Ramon, Bollinger Canyon Road, and Sunset Drive, placing every major office quadrangle and the City Center Bishop Ranch retail plaza within a four-minute walk of a timed shuttle stop. Each shelter has been outfitted with solar-powered real-time arrival displays, inductive charging pads, and secure bike lockers integrated directly with the adjacent Iron Horse Regional Trail crossings.

Financing for the $1.38 million service expansion comes from a joint allocation of Contra Costa Transportation Authority Measure J clean-corridor grants and Sunset Development Company transportation demand management assessments, avoiding any fare surcharge for riders. All Bishop Ranch shuttle trips remain fare-free for commuters boarding at the San Ramon Transit Center or presenting a registered Clipper card, student pass, or employer mobility badge.

Transportation engineers will monitor automated passenger counter telemetry and intersection signal priority performance along Bollinger Canyon Road through mid-December to calibrate winter schedule padding. Commuters can view live vehicle locations, download the revised weekday timetable, or reserve guaranteed-ride-home vouchers through the 511 Contra Costa commuter portal or at the Transit Center customer kiosk on weekday mornings.
