Livermore — Livermore Chamber hosts State of the State Wine Country Luncheon Oct. 29

The Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce will host its third annual State of the State Wine Country Luncheon on Thursday, October 29, bringing state and federal lawmakers together with Tri-Valley business leaders. The midday civic forum begins at 11:30 a.m. inside the Robert Livermore Community Center at 4444 East Avenue in Livermore. Featured speakers include State Senator Jerry McNerney, Assemblywoman Rebecca Bauer-Kahan, and United States Representative Aisha Wahab, all three of whom are Democrats seeking reelection on the November ballot.

During the moderated discussion, McNerney and Bauer-Kahan will deliver comprehensive California legislative updates from Sacramento and examine how recently enacted statutes affect employers, municipal infrastructure, and wine country agriculture across Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin, and San Ramon. Wahab will share insights from her tenure in Washington, D.C., since winning a special election to complete the unexpired congressional term of former Fourteenth District Representative Eric Swalwell. The policy briefing is designed to give local executives direct access to regional decision-makers.

Livermore Valley Chamber President Sherri Souza noted that the annual legislative luncheons are consistently popular among East Bay commercial and civic stakeholders and frequently sell out ahead of the event date. Admission is priced at $90 per person for registered Chamber of Commerce members and $100 for nonmembers, which includes a catered wine country meal and networking reception. Sponsorship tables are also coordinated by the chamber board to support ongoing small business advocacy programs throughout Alameda and Contra Costa counties.

Local municipal officials, school district trustees, and economic development commission representatives regularly attend the autumn gathering to discuss regional transportation funding, clean energy mandates, and commercial regulatory reform. Business owners in the Tri-Valley have emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue between private industry and legislative committees as municipalities navigate commercial insurance shifts and state workforce compliance rules. A dedicated question-and-answer segment will allow luncheon guests to raise pressing community priorities directly with the delegation.

Prospective attendees and corporate sponsors can reserve seating or review the full October 29 program schedule through the chamber online portal at livermorechamber.org or by calling the administrative office at (925) 447-1606. Early registration is encouraged by event organizers due to capacity limits inside the East Avenue banquet hall. Check-in and informal networking among Tri-Valley civic leaders will commence promptly at 11:30 a.m. before the formal legislative remarks.
