Grassroots civic organization Indivisible Tri-Valley will host a community-wide "No Kings: Vote Early Family Fair" at Emerald Glen Park in Dublin on Saturday, October 17, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., blending family recreation with practical voter education ahead of the November general election. Earlier the same day, partner chapter Livermore Indivisible will host a coordinated sister event at Portola Park in Livermore from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., giving residents across the Tri-Valley two convenient opportunities to participate in weekend civic engagement activities.

Designed as an approachable, family-friendly outdoor gathering along Central Parkway in Dublin, the Emerald Glen Park fair will feature carnival-style games and arts-and-crafts stations for children alongside nonpartisan voter registration assistance tables. Volunteers will operate interactive mock voting booths tailored for both children and adults to demystify ballot layouts, while election outreach coordinators provide step-by-step guidance on California's early mail-in and in-person voting options. A highlight of the afternoon program will be a collective "Stroll to the Polls," during which registered voters can walk together to deposit their completed official mail-in ballots into the secure county ballot drop-off box located at The Wave aquatic complex inside the park.

Organizers noted that Indivisible Tri-Valley operates as a volunteer-led grassroots organization that supports progressive political causes and pro-democracy voter turnout initiatives across Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore, San Ramon, and Danville. Community volunteers emphasized that encouraging residents to return their completed ballots early in mid-October helps families avoid last-minute Election Day lines while allowing county election clerks to verify ballot envelope signatures promptly. Parents attending the Portola Park and Emerald Glen Park events praised the inclusion of youth mock elections as a hands-on way to teach elementary and middle school students how local municipal councils, school boards, and county districts function.

Officials with the Alameda County Registrar of Voters and Contra Costa County Elections Division confirmed that all official 24-hour outdoor ballot drop boxes—including the receptacle at The Wave on Central Parkway in Dublin—are constructed of heavy-gauge steel and emptied regularly by bipartisan courier teams. County election department staff reminded voters to sign and date the outside of their return envelopes before depositing ballots during Saturday's stroll.

Tri-Valley voters can check their registration status, track their mail-in ballot via California's "Where's My Ballot?" notification system, and locate official drop-off boxes online at acvote.alamedacountyca.gov or by calling the county elections office at (510) 272-6933. Both Saturday family fairs at Portola Park in Livermore (11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.) and Emerald Glen Park in Dublin (2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.) offer free admission and open lawn seating.
